Can't go wrong!

AnonymousNovember 28, 2016
Nice and heavy duty well constructed arm for next to my bed. My purpose for this is to use in bed with my nook cell phone and tablet. My 15 inch laptop is a tad bit too big to use in its current set up but you could fix that. I put the notebook holder with the edges on the front side instead of just having the lip on the front side....it'll make sense when you see the product in person. I preferred the crimped edges because I knew I wouldn't inadvertently knock my Nook or s7 on the floor if I fell asleep with the arm across my bed decreasing my stress about having a cracked screen or anything else like that.Cord management is pretty good and I really have no complaints whatsoever on quality. And in a pinch if you had to you could bludgeon someone to death with this thing. Seriously it's not going to fall apart!Only complaint are the screws that hold the notebook holder to the bracket...they are phillips head screws tightened up with nuts but the wrench that comes with doesn't work with these nuts. I'd suggest some other mounting hardware just don't know what. I really don't think it's going to come lose but it's just my one nit picky complaint.Enjoy!!!

I trusted the reviews from others and low and behold THEY WERE CORRECT. After positioning a mostly assembled product where I wanted this to operate with multiple mounting options I decided to try the clamp mount. Glad I did. I had no drilling no marring of the furniture and most of all a sturdy movable capable very heavy laptop articulating stand. I chose to mount my three fan cooling system to the included laptop tray and utilized the cable routing clips for the power cord and to hold my cell phone charging cable out of the way.......Very happy

Well I received unit on time with all the parts/instruct and in great shape. Unit is very sturdy and well built. Took me about 2 hrs to put together perfectly and then attach to my Knox Audio Z-Stand. The Z-stand holds my Moog Sub 37 Synthesizer and altogether they are built like a brick-chit-house. Still waiting on my swivel mic that will attach to the other(left) side of my Z-Stand. Finally I will add my Electro Hamonix Voicebox either near the Kaoss or on the floor if need be. Well now I'm getting ready as the MC5 would say \Kick Out The Jams MFer!\ Rock on bro's.

Alternate use idea.. HOTAS!

AnonymousJune 8, 2017
SO I re-purposed these beauties. I was looking for a HOTAS below desk mounting solution. Most custom HOTAS rigs cost a lot for these rigid L shaped brackets that clamp onto the desk edge. Using two of these I flipped them upside down cut a base for the HOTAS out of plywood and screwed the stick and throttle directly to the mounting system. It works great!

Great product does exactly what it should!

AnonymousJune 16, 2017
This is an awesome mount and does exactly what it is supposed to do - holds a laptop securely off the desk without any fear that it might fall or slip off. The lip at the front of the shelf allows you to tilt it to any reasonable position without worry. However having purchased both I can say that this product is absolutely identical to theVIVO Single Laptop / Notebook Desk Mount / Stand Fully Adjustable Extension with Clamp by (STAND-V001L)which usually costs a few dollars less. The instruction sheet is the same and I suspect both are sourced from the exact same Chinese factory. Both are great so I'd check both products and simply order whichever costs less at the time you are clicking on the links.

AnonymousOctober 25, 2017
This stand was perfect for my office setup. It clamps easily and firmly to a desk (or table) and provides a fairly sturdy base for an laptop computer. It may bounce slightly depending upon how hard one punches the key board but I'm supporting a large 17.3 inch computer. Nicely elevates and swings at any number of angles. Clamp is wide about 3.5 inches and hangs down about 6 inches from the top of my desk. But placed at the end it doesn't get in the way.

This is really well made. The only thing I didn't like was putting it together.
Solid stand with good articulation not as good for people using the laptop keyboard

AnonymousFebruary 8, 2018
This is a stand for putting your laptop screen at the same height as your other monitors. The arm has good articulation for customizing the depth and angle of the laptop relative to the post.A VESA plate screws into the bottom of the tray to slide onto the bracket on the arm retained by a screw through a post on the top side. So it will stay where you set it but I would not use it for a laptop you intend to type on directly.

I went through two 'mounts' (of another brand) in well less than two months (ie super cr*ppy construction) so was again burning daylight looking for a solution.... Enter Mount-It! This mount is STOUT! I only need to (currently) support a compact keyboard I use when working from a pen monitor so this mount is a wee bit of overkill ... and I'm good with it! On top of the epic construction quality there's three different mounting options with all hardware/tools included less perhaps a small phillips head screwdriver. Plus there's an adhesive pad which can attach to the mount in order to protect the surface finish of whatever you mount the stand to. For the price I can't imagine being able to do much better than this one! #Strong #Solid #Great-Price I'm a new fanboy in the Mount-It! fam! ;) All The Best #Cheers

I bought to use as a means to easily store my computer out of the way when not needed in an RV. With a few modifications to the attaching mechanism it works as intended. So far so good it works as I needed it to no complaints for the price you can't go wrong if this is something you are wanting to have.
Great with a couple quibbles

AnonymousJanuary 5, 2017
This unit is VERY solidly built and pretty straightforward to assemble. It is designed to be a laptop stand OR a monitor moun t with necessary hardware for either version. The assembly instructions for the laptop-stand configuration are a bit less detailed and miss one important point. There is a nut that secures the tray to the mount after it slides into the bracket. If you miss it the tray will come loose when pushed and might drop your laptop onto the floor. The nut is identified in the monitor-mount section and is used the same way.The tray was still a bit loose even with the nut so I took it off and tightened the bracket slot by whacking the two L-shaped side elements of the bracket (not the tray) with a rubber hammer. Worked well check as you go so you don't overdo it.The clamp for mounting to a tavbletop is made in two pieces held by two bolts in tapped holes allowing coarse adjustment before you employ the clamping screw. It could fit a very thick tabletop.

Good for 13\ Cintiq Tablet

AnonymousFebruary 23, 2018
I use it for my 13\ Cintiq since those don't have the Vesa mount on the back. I wish it didn't require an allen wrench to adjust the height though because I go from sitting to standing often when I work. Other than that
It's not perfect but worked out well for me.

AnonymousMarch 21, 2018
What I liked?- Price Sturdy Easy to assembleWhat I did not like?- If you need to move the around the adjustment are not perfect. Sometimes the laptop tilts slightly to one side or the other.- The part of the tray that stops the laptop could have been a big higher. There is some risk of laptop slipping if you are not carefulSince I don't need to move the laptop around this mount works for me.
Almost Perfect No Really.... It Is

AnonymousAugust 13, 2020
Overall material and design is good. I'm using this next to a desktop standing desk. So I need my laptop and docking station to rise and lower as I use the laptop monitor as a third screen. It would be nice if the height adjustment screw was also a knob for adjustment instead of using the Allen Wrench each time. The second improvement would be with the platform the laptop rest on.. mine rocks back and forth and I can't seem to find where I can tighten it to stop this. I believe it is how the extension arm and the plate attach there is space between the two and I believe this is were the rocking happens. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I'm only a week into using so we will see how well it holds up to the numerous times I am raising and lowering during the week.
Good not great

AnonymousOctober 16, 2021
I use this arm to raise my laptop so the screen is next to my external monitor and the webcam is at a good height for Zoom calls. I use an external keyboard and mouse so I'm not concerned with the height or angle of the laptop's built-in keyboard or trackpad. The laptop mount does everything I need it to. And it's a good value for the price point. The cons:The laptop shelf doesn't have any way to hold the laptop in place other than gravity. Velcro bungee cords or rubber bumpers would hold it more securely. The arm is held in place with bolts that you need to loosen with an allen wrench if you want to adjust the height. So this isn't a great choice if you plan to adjust the height often. Use an articulating laptop mount for that instead. The laptop shelf lets you adjust the tilt angle forward and back but not left and right. Mine slants a little bit to the left probably because I've got the arm extended toward the left. As a result the laptop screen is neither perpendicular to the floor nor parallel to my external monitor. The mount bounces quite a bit on the rare occasions when I type directly on the laptop.I like that the mount comes with both clamp and grommet mounting options. This mount has all the same hardware as a monitor arm and could be used for that purpose simply by not installing the laptop shelf. The parts I received looked identical to monitor mount MI-2751 plus the laptop shelf.
Singe Lap top raised and in center view

Anonymous Verified buyer February 16, 2022
working well to hold my lap top at eyelevel. Plenty of tilt - which you need to keep the keyboard of the laptop from blocking the view of the desk surface (so far I just have the lap top on it in the desk center). Its HEAVY. Not sure it the arm needs to be so massive but it does need to be strong so maybe thats how it has to be. The plate that holds the laptop seems absurdly massive. Adds to the load on the arm quite a bit. They should offer a light weight version. The only miss is there is no tilt (that I found) to make the screen vertical. it tends to tilt a tiny bit. but its acceptable. Part of the reason for the heft is to keep it all aligned but with such a massive arm and then the holder itself is impossible to be perfect. All in all though I like it. it doesnt stick out the back of the desk much which helps with small desk. I got it about 3 behind desk back edge - in order to get laptop far enough away. This could be less if the vertical arm were place further to the right but my setup wont allow that. These mounts (all of them) face complex geometry and design vs use case choices. This one looked to fit my situation best and its working. I'm going to see if a 2nd arm will fit in my setup to hold a small 2nd screen.
Great but a bit wobbly

Anonymous Verified buyer September 23, 2022
Great mount for a laptop however the laptop tray itself wobbles a bit from left to right. This allows the laptop to be tilted a bit. I can manually push it back into place however it doesn’t seem to be something which can be fixed or adjusted.
Close but no cigar ...

Anonymous Verified buyer November 20, 2022
I was really looking forward to using the stand in my mobile DJ business. Once I see you the stand and assembled it I noticed it was too big for my DJ mixing board case where I would have to modify some things to make it work plus it was too heavy for my case or my table or it kept sliding off it wouldn't hold to a plastic six foot table because of his it's excessive weight. I was forced to pass it on to a friend and purchase a tabletop stand from Gator. Please make a smaller version for DJs that is easier to travel and sit in tight spaces. And get a hold of me for the dimensions if you'd like.

Would have given 5 stars but the product came open and missing screws and a couple parts. I received someone else return obviously. No attempt by supplier to make things right but the unit did what I needed after a trip to the hardware store.
Price seems high and the laptop tray needs some options to secure a laptop.

AnonymousMarch 1, 2017
Seems identical to Vivo brand mounts but was priced substantially higher. I love Vivo monitor mounts and this is identical with their vesa laptop plate. What I don't like is the laptop plate doesn't provide much in terms of holding your expensive computer on. I purchased a roll of Velcro that I wrap around the laptop and mounting plate to secure it which holds it on very well. For the price it would be nice if they would add some hooks on the sides of the mount with some heavy weight rubber bands you could stretch over your laptop to securely hold the laptop from sliding off.
