Best footrest for my office desk

Just had to get this!
A few years back we bought a footrest from Ikea that looks identical to this one. We have been using it every day. Being short in stature it works great in front of our BIG DEEP SITTING couch for my dangling legs. IKEA no longer sells these. We really wanted another one for under our computer desk. This one is structurally the same just much lighter weight which my husband loves. We are very satisfied with this purchase. Use it every single day!

Just what I needed.
Works well under my desk. Gives me a better ergonomic set up for my back. The footrest does swivel and you can't lock it in place but that's not a problem for me. It's better than the box I have had under my desk for years

Excellent Product! Should have bought one long ago...
I suffer from poor circulation and needed the raised footrest so my feet/posture was perfect. I work on a computer all day and have been for the last 20 years and this foot rest keeps my feet moving anytime I need them to. It has also helped my posture which was causing me many health issues. I love this footrest and highly recommend it!

The one with chrome arches is great. Much sturdier and better looking than the other styles. Texture feels great.
I hunted a lot and tried one of these similar to the option on the left in this listing. The one with the circles on the surface. It sucked. Super wobbly. Only advantage is that it could get pretty high but thats not needed much. The one on the right with the chrome arches is so much better. Rock solid. Aesthetically much less imposing. Just compliments the aeron chair. Very modest and very sturdy. Also if you don't like the tettering vibe this is for you.Only changes - would love to see a bumby bamboo surface and a version that gets 2 inches taller so my wife can use it but uses the same design. For now I'm going to add rubber feed risers to this. That would be a nice add on too.*Also though I think this is the best footrest after much searching I also have found that a small penny skateboard like the one by stereo skateboard company. it is a little taller so its the perfect hieght it flexes forward and back and it moves side to side which is sort of nice.

Pleased will it's quality
I have owned a similar footrest which had the same design but came in two pieces was narrower and a lighter weight. This footrest is all connected is of a comfortable width and is of a substantial but not too heavy weight.

Flexibility
Use this in car since my feet don't quite reach the floor. Makes traveling much more comfortable. Use in my office for same reason. Really like that it pibotscsith my movements.

Works perfectly for my need. Keeps the ankle and foot in the right position. I have drop foot from an accident and this footrest keeps my foot from just dangling and eases pressure on the ankle.

Not bad for the price but it only really works well on carpeting.
Not a bad foot rest for the price however it leaves some to be desired. The construction is questionable. Those feet attaching the metal tubes together are actually rubber and it sort of all goes together pressure fitted. I suspect this will wear down with time. On the plus side this rest is relatively quiet. One of the complaints of plastic rests is that they are loud. The rubber and metal help keep the noise down and the free flowing design is actually very nice. Although the feet grip nicely they only really work well on carpeting. On a tile floor they do slip frequently. One final thought I find it a tad to narrow. I wear a size 11 shoe and it almost seems to small for my feet.

No lock for tilt.
Large (bulky) footrest with 3 height settings. But the tilt does not lock in place which I found to be annoying. Otherwise it's fine as long as you have plenty of room for it and don't mind it moving/tilting under your feet.

Not bad for price sits pretty low to ground but you can move it with your feet and adjust angle. Not real sturdy- but not expensive either. You get what you pay for.

Hard to Assemble
It's hard to assemble. The curved bars are difficult to get through the plate. I finally got it together by ignoring the instructions and putting both curved bars through the holes in the plate first and then attaching the straight bars that go on the floor (but it was still difficult to put together.) It works okay once you get it put together. My colleague has a wood one he bought from Levenger 20 years ago and it works a lot better (it changes angles more smoothly) than this one. Levenger doesn't have it anymore; I looked.
